I stumbled across this lovely patchwork tablecloth and immediately I envisioned making this big beautiful and flowing maxi dress. The geometric floral pattern is so unusual, with octagons and squares filled with different flowers in shades of blue, green, and white upon a luxuriously thick vintage cotton. The sheer scale of the fabric allowed me to create some excessively large angel wing sleeves, which along with the skirt have been finished with a lovely white tassel fringe, creating a witchy, magical, and totally unique piece of upcycled fashion.

Rescued from an old life of being sat beneath tea cups, crumbs and plates, we are so happy to present our latest slow-fashion project: taking old vintage tablecloths made from exquisite fabrics and giving them another life in the form of vintage-inspired dresses. The fabrics are sourced by us, then cut, sewn, and stitched with care and pride in our little English home. Every dress has a hand-stitched collar and French seams throughout.
