One of the most beautiful vintage pieces we have stumbled across. Every part of this royal blue dress has been done by hand, with sequins, metal buttons, and a colourful embroidered display of crowns, birds, dragons, insects, geometric, and floral imagery spread across the piece. Cross stitching has a deep and storied history within Middle Eastern traditions, and the different decorative symbols are often individual reflections of regional history. The dress has a large, loose shape with long sleeves and embroidered cuffs, and is a masterpiece of antique textile history and a true bohemian statement piece.

CONDITION
This beautiful garment is over 100 years of age, so please bear that in mind. Some of the gold trim is coming away in certain areas. It has lots of tiny holes all over, potentially moth holes. Parts of the dress are sun faded, which is a shame. One button is missing and two of the button loops have come undone. It is a restoration project and a labour of love for someone accepting of these faults and willing to give the dress some TLC or to simply own a remarkable piece of history.
