Vintage 1970s Laura Ashley Purple Floral Prairie Maxi Dress

A special little early Laura Ashley piece in a gorgeous purple and lilac geometric floral-paisley print. It is the epitome of the Victorian revival era, simply radiating pastoral romanticism through that classic Laura Ashley prairie dress shape. The dress has a pintucked bodice with delicate lace on the collar and cuffs, with bishop sleeves and a large flounced skirt. With a flattering waist and a back zip, the dress has mounds of sumptuous, heavy cotton and presents beautifully all around.

CONDITION

Overall, the dress is in a really lovely vintage condition, but please do read this section and check photographs. There are discolouration spots on the front skirt which get lost in the material, as well as some general fading all over; however, the colours still present beautifully. There is a minor material inconsistency on the front: please note this is not a rip but a manufacturing concern. There is a tiny mark on front which appears to be candle wax - it should lift out should you wish to do so, but does not impact wear. The original belt is missing but there is plenty of material underneath the frill to make your own belt if you wish!
