Antique Red Velvet Jacket with Gold Embroidery | Ottoman/Balkan Folk Style

This is a very, very beautiful antique velvet jacket, all hand-stitched, with lace cuffs and gorgeous gold embroidery and sequins that bring the piece to life. The short, collarless style and decoration appears closely aligned with Greek/Balkan style, circa 1880-1920, though this hasn't been officially confirmed. Regardless, it is a wonderful vintage jacket that remains very wearable today for those pursuing a more eccentric look.

CONDITION

Exceptional for its age, with one small hole on the front upper shoulder. It has staining on back of lace sleeve trim. General really minor wear and tear. Few discolouration spots. Really beautiful filled with patina. Please study photos, and be aware it is a very, very old item.
